Google+ mobile lands on low end smartphones

Google Plus, the personalized Google social network was once exclusively reserved for ‘capable’ smartphone but Google has now decided to revamp this entire service allowing feature phones to have access to the mobile website. The website itself appears to be a ‘lite’ version offering basic features ranging from posting, upload pictures to viewing Circles or Profiles while maintaining a stripped down design to minimize the impact on the smaller screens.

The updates to the Google Plus mobile site are aimed at lower-end feature phones in emerging markets like African and India. Google has also simplified the user experience for phones that don’t have data plans by adding a feature that allows users to receive notifications for various events via SMS just like did Facebook.
