Two days after Samsung Mobile Unpacked event during which the South Korean vendor introduced the GALAXY Note 2 and GALAXY Camera, Samsung Electronics Senior Vice President and Head of Digital Imaging Business, Myoungsup Han met with reporters during IFA 2012 in Berlin on August 31 at Samsung exhibition booth, where he said that GALAXY Camera will be available in Europe and South Korea (via KT and SK Telecom local network operators) starting October.
The 3G model of the GALAXY Camera running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and sporting a 16MP lense will begin selling on its domestic market first followed shortly by the 4G LTE variant. Mister Han also said that the pricing details will be set during pre-release.
The launch of Samsung GALAXY Camera through a network operator is a world premiere in the mobile industry.
