Looks like Vodafone operator is happy with its Smart TAb sales, as a 10.1 successor dubbed Smart TAb II and a 7 inch tablet both made by Lenovo this time (previous tablet was manufactured by ZTE) were shown off during IFA 2012 in Berlin. Both 7 and 10.1 come with a nice back cover design similar to the one found on Google Nexus 7, Vodafone logo in the center of the handheld and somewhere at the bottom Lenovo’s silver logo.
The 7 inch Smart Tab II comes with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, a 2MP camera on the back, 4GB of built-in storage which can be extended for up to 16GB through a microSD card slot, GPS, Bluetooth, etc. This version will be available in Europe for €190, while the 10.1 comes with a larger on-board storage (16GB), a dual-core processor clocking at 1.5GHz frequency and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. This one will be priced at €10 on a monthly plan with a 2 years contract signing or at €490, no contract.
These two tablets should begin selling across Europe by the end of the month, however we dont have an official confirmation from Vodafone yet.
