It’s now official: the Huawei Ascend G600 will hit the shelves in September! The G600 is a smartphone worthy enough to appear and enrich the current Huawei lineup. Don’t believe us? Let’s summarize its specs and see for yourself.
The Ascend G600 is a mid-range droid, which features an IPS LCD panel which measures 4.5 inches diagonal and is of qHD resolution. There are three hardware buttons below the screen: home, back and menu button. There is also a pair of speakers which feature DTS surround sound, which are here to improve the audio quality. An 8 megapixel camera can be found on the back, which also has auto focus functionality.
Let’s take a peek in the inside. There’s a dual-core processor with a frequency of 1.2 GHz, and we believe it’s a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 unit. NFC and the microSD card slot are also present, and there’s 4 GB of storage and 768 megabytes of RAM memory. To power it all, there is a 1930 mAh lithium polymer battery and Huawei states that the standby time of the device is 15 days, or even more. They also claim that the smartphone will power on in only 5 seconds! That’s hard to believe, but everything is possible, we assume, so in short time we will see if this claim is true.
Android 4.0 is on board, alongside other features, such as Wi-Fi direct, Bluetooth and DLNA support. There’s also support for NFC payment technology. Overall, the Ascend G600 is a good performer all around.
The price is not mentioned, but we will find out in a short period of time. Until then, please stay tuned for more updates and details.
