Intel Powered Motorola Phone to be Announced September 18th

At CES 2012 Motorola and Intel announced they were working collaboratively on a device and on September 18th it shall be unveiled according to an event invitation from Motorola Mobility.

While we don’t have any solid details, this device is notable because it will be the first Motorola phone powered by an Intel chip. A vast majority of smart phones are based off the ARM architecture due to benefits like better battery life but if Intel can provide a product that can compete all the more power to them! It’s going to take a while for Intel to be fully competitive in the market, ARM has been doing this for years, but in the end we will be getting better products and who can complain about that?
