ZTE has become a real power player in the past months and is here again to prove it. On 28th August they have announced the global launch of their newest handset, the Grand X LTE.
The Grand X LTE is a single-chip LTE device, which makes it faster and more efficient. There’s a 1.5 GHz powerhouse inside, which is based on 28nm CPU architecture. That guarantees less power usage and more speed. In the front there is a 4.3 inch qHD screen whose quality is yet to be seen, though ZTE themselves have said it provides exceptional HD quality visual experience. On the back there’s an 8 megapixel camera with an enhanced flash that is able to shoot Full HD videos. There’s also a front facing camera that offers you 720p video calls.
The design of the handset is simple. The front is minimalistic with no hardware buttons whatsoever. The back, however, has a bump at the bottom, which reminds us of the Samsung Nexus S design. There’s also the speaker and the camera accompanied with the flash. On the left side there’s nothing more than the volume buttons and the right side is even cleaner, with only the microUSB port. There’s nothing at the bottom and at the top there’s the power button in the left and the 3.5mm headset jack on the right. Overall, a clean design, but nothing out of the ordinary.
The price of the Grand X LTE is yet to be revealed, though we don’t expect to be as high as the price of the most of its rivals that are currently offered on the market.
