Unofficially revealed about 10 days ago via a leak, Samsung’s new GALAXY Player has the looks of a GALAXY S III except that its size dimensions are extremely huge and I mean it when I say ‘extremely,’ because the screen alone is 5.8 inch in diagonal.
This giant GALAXY Player comes with a 5.8″ qHD TFT LCD screen (960x540p resolution) display, powered by a dual-core processor clocked at 1GHZ and 1GB of RAM (DDR2), comes with a VGA front camera and a 3MP on the back, high-quality stereo speakers (1 at the top of the screen, the other at the bottom) with Samsung’s own sound field technology called Sound Alive, TV quality technology optimized for mobile devices – mDNIe (Mobile Digital Natural Engine), GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi, T-DMB, built-in storage either 16Gb or 32GB (expandable via a microSD slot up to 32GB) and a 2,500mAh battery.
On the software side GALAXY Player 5.8 runs Android 4.0.4 (ICS) with TouchWix UX on top, Learning Hub, ChatON and All Share Play.
This player is expected to hit the shelves in South Korea next month in black or white colour option. No details on its price yet.
