Samsung is expected to officially announce its Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy SIII in a few days during the IFA consumer electronics show, however we’ve already seen three firmware leaks for the international version but here comes the firmware for T-Mobile variant using the Qualcomm MSM8960 chipset.
Folks at XDA Forums have already got their hands on this build JRO03L and any issues along with possible workarounds will be listed there. The installation is simple but requires the stock build T999UVALH2, just reboot in recovery mode and apply the update and you’ll be running a fully fledged Android 4.1 build. It should be noted that the leaked experimental firmware is reported to have few bugs especially the incapacity to use WiFi-calling.
This leak further suggests that the build is near completion and might be released sooner that expected. Stay tuned for future updates.
