Last time we heard about Nikon’s Android-based camera was 15 days ago, and now it’s officially released. It’s known by its name, Nikon Coolpix S800c. It’s a 16MP camera with 1080p video recording, and 10x optical zoom. But, that aren’t the most interesting features of the device. It’s pre-loaded with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, which is unusual for cameras. It also has Wi-Fi connectivity, to keep all your photos backed up in the cloud. Naturally, it packs a touchscreen, which is of the OLED type.
Although it’s a camera, the Nikon Coolpix S800c can act as a full-featured Android device. You have access to the web browser, Google Play Store, where you can download countless apps and games. Cool, huh?
The camera will arrive at the stores in September, and it will cost $350. If you find it a good deal, feel free to get it!
