Details about an upcoming Google Nexus smartphone are starting to add up to a list of leaks. About two weeks ago a device using model number GT-I9260 popped up on Samsung UAE website which fits right in between GALAXY Nexus (GT-I9250) and the GALAXY S III (GT-I9300), reason why we strongly belive this will be the next Google Nexus smartphone (maybe a refresh).
Today folks at SamMobile received a purported piece of document from an unknown source which details specs of all the above handsets (all three of them align together on a specs sheet that has the nexus logo on it). Doesnt really look like something official (not that credible), however it links to our reports about GT-I9260 model that leaked from Samsung UAE official website 12 days ago. This is the only reason we trust SamMobile’s source.
According to this document listing, the next Nexus (GT-I9260) will be powered by a 1.5GHz A9 dual-core processor (LTE support), features a 4.65 Super AMOLED HD display, swaps the 5MP camera with an 8 MP camera on the back, same goes with the front-facing cam from 1.3MP to 1.9MP HD for video chat, same 16GB built-in storage, HSPA+ 21 Mbps / 5.76 Mbps and it has support for microSD card which is currently missing on the GALAXY Nexus. On the software side highly likely Google Nexus GT-I9260 to run Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system at launch.
