Android 4.0.4 firmware upgrade now rolling to Xperia 2011 line-up

Not later than last week Sony Mobile begin rolling out Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) to Xperia P, a handset that’s part of 2012 Xperia NXT series.

In a post on its official blog today, Sony has announced that starting this week the following handsets: Xperia mini pro, Xperia neo L and Live with Walkman are next in line to receive Android 4.0 software update followed by Xperia arc, Xperia arc S, Xperia neo, Xperia neo V, Xperia mini, Xperia pro, Xperia active and Xperia ray, all part of Xperia 2011 series which will enjoy the same treatment over the next few weeks.

The update is available OTA (over the air) for those already running ICS on their phones, while those running Gingerbread will have to plug in and update through PC companion or Bridge for Mac.

Do note that some carriers will have to approve the upgrade before the rollout begins.
