Verizon started pushing Android 4.0 update to Motorola Droid 4. Here’s what we said about that:

It’s now official! Today, August 13 Verizon Wireless has begun pushing out OTA in phases to Motorola Droid 4 customers a software update that brings Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, which also makes the smartphone Global Ready. A black Samsung Galaxy S3 was caught on T-Mobile’s website. Here’s what we were talking about:

Spotted a couple of times during London 2012 Olympics, and on a UK retailer website listing, Black Samsung GALAXY S III is almost a certainty. The next GALAXY phone likely to arrive later this year all dressed in black.

A hawk-eye tipster caught the same Black model of the GALAXY S3 today on T-Mobile website in a Flash ad, so now its just a matter of time before Samsung Electronics decides to officially announce this variant. See the image

LG confirmed that Optimus 2X is getting ICS. In our words:

The LG Optimus 2X was the first dual-core phone ever released. It initially came withAndroid 2.2 and received a Gingerbread update after a long period of time. It was supposed to receive ICS as well, LG themselves have put it on the list. Things, however, has changed in the previous months. To be precise, an LG official has announced onTwitter that the device will not taste ICS. On the other hand, We get some info from LGKorea and it speaks the complete opposite. They say that the former flagship will get ICSafter all and the update has reached the testing phase. Read more

Samsung Galaxy R got updated to ICS. Here’s a cut from the article:

The wait is over guys! Those of you who own a Galaxy R and thought they will be stuck on Gingerbread for the rest of your lives, rejoice! Samsung started pushing the Ice Cream Sandwichupdate to Galaxy R smartphones in Sweden. One lucky XDA Member, known as Machram was lucky enough to receive his phone back from service pre-loaded withICS. We also got a word that the update is spreading through Kies and OTA, so it won’t be long before every user gets his/her hands on the update.

We saw a leaked Samsung Galaxy Player successor. Here’s a paragraph from the article:

Asus Transformer Pad received an official Jellybean update. Here are some of our impressions:

An OTA (over-the-air ) update for the Asus Transformer Pad TF300 that brings the newest Android version 4.1.1 Jelly Bean has started its roll out today with a warning that Adobe Flash Player and Wi-fi Direct are no longer working.
