HTC Desire HD gets a fully functional Android 4.0.4 ROM with HTC Sense UI 3.6

Surprisingly or not, HTC removed Desire HD from the Ice Cream Sandwich update list a few weeks back. HTC decision remains, although a petition “Give us Ice Cream Sandwich for HTC Desire HD,” was handed over to customers to sign, which gathered over 15,000 signatures until now. HTC explained its decision in a soft of “we apologize,” blog post.

Anyways, we’ve got some great news for HTC Desire HD owners!!! Thanks to XDA Developers amazing community represented by XDA Senior member QD2DC and Team blackout have released a fully functional Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich ROM with HTC Sense UI 3.6 based on a HTC Incredible S build. So far, according to users who already tested this ROM they havent encounter any problems with this port. Team blackout ROM also includes a custom kernel which adds some extra performance to the smartphone.

If you care to try it out (and I know you do), a link to the original thread where you can find all the necessary files to install Android 4.0 on your Desire HD find it below. Enjoy!
