Sony Xperia GX being sent to stores in Japan


The Sony Xperia GX, one of Sony’s next flagship device makes an early debut in Japan. The handset appears to have successfully passed all inspections at the FCC labs a few weeks ago and is now being sent to Japanese NTT DoCoMo mobile phone operator stores today. The Smartphone is currently Japan-exclusive but rumors indicate that Sony might also release an international version during the IFA consumer electronics show which will be held in less than a month. 

The handset sports a 720p 4.6 inch display and packs a dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon S4 processor along with a 13MP Exmor camera sensor & 1 GB of RAM. The smartphone will ship with Android 4.0.4 and will be Jelly Bean upgradeable.
