New reports coming from South Korea, suggest that the next Samsung GALAXY Note phablet features a flexible AMOLED display. This would make the smartphone the first of its kind to go on sale world-wide.

We all saw and know about a Samsung device nicknamed GALAXY SKIN, equipped with a flexible display that was shown off by the South Korean vendor at a couple of trade shows during 2011. According to Korea IT Times reports, Samsung  would become the premiere OEM to sell such curved devices.

Right now there is so little to know about the GALAXY Note 2, as Samsung managed to keep it a secret unlike other earlier devices. Recent rumors hint that it will sport a 5.5″ touch screen with 16:9 ratio and that’s pretty much it.

I guess we will have to wait until August 29th, when Samsung will announce the new device in a Samsung Mobile Unpacked event which will take place in Berlin a day before the IFA trade show starts.
