Huawei: Ascend P1 coming early August in the UK via Vodafone and various retailers


The long-awaited debut of Huawei’s Ascend P1 smartphone that was introduced back in January at CES 2012 in Las Vegas, is right around the corner. The chinese OEM announces that the dual-core Ascend P1 is coming soon to the United Kingdom.

The Huawei Ascend P1 at its only 7.69mm thick, features a bright 4.3-inch Super AMOLED touch screen with 960 x 540p resolution display housed in a narrow matt-finish metal frame enforced by Corning Gorilla Glass, packs a 1.5GHz TI OMAP 4460 Cortext-A9 dual-core processor, a 8MP compact rear-facing camera with Autofocus, LED flash and Full HD video recording ability, plus a 1.3MP camera in front for video chat, 1670 mAh battery and it runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.

The Ascend P1 will be available from Vodafone and various independent UK retailers early August, free on a monthly plan of £26 and/or above.
