ZTE announces a budget Grand X gaming smartphone


ZTE unveiled an Android smartphone that they believe is the “best Android gaming smartphone ever”. The device lacks the slide-out gaming pad that the Xperia Play featured by does have a dual-core Tegra 2 processor inside. Anyone buying the device will have access to the Tegra Gaming Zone. The DLNA connectivity on board will allow users to fire their game to their HDTV as well. The Grand X has a 4.3-inch qHD screen but lacks the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean as its equipped with the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. A 5MP rear-facing camera with HD 720p video, a 1650mAh battery, 4GB of internal storage expandable to 32GB via microSD, and HSDPA and WiFi connectivity also don the device. The handset will cost £189.99 on pay as you go, and will retail from around £19 a month on two year contracts.
