HTC 6435 Shows Up on Benchmarks, Tops The Charts

We wrote a couple of articles about an unknown HTC device using the code name Evitareul with 1,7 GHz quad-core CPU for AT&T and about a possible follow-up for HTC Flyer for the UK and now we got some info on another unknown HTC device – HTC 6435.

According to the model number, you may think it’s a Rezound successor, but its resolution will make you think again. This beast of a device packs a resolution of 1800×1080 pixels! That’s nearly Full HD resolution, which makes us believe it’s rather a 10 inch tablet. But, that’s not the only thing special about this device. With great power comes great responsibilities, right, so this monster packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, which means it gets the new Adreno 320 GPU! And you guessed it right, it tops the GLBenchmark, and even the most powerful tablets are inferior to the HTC 6435.

Here’s the score chart:

Compared to the Asus Transformer Pad Infinity, which scores ‘only’ 76,6fps on the Egypt Offscreen 720p test, the HTC tablet scores almost double – whopping 121,1fps! Keep in mind that the Transformer Pad Infinity has a FullHD screen too, but a NVIDIA Tegra 3 chip powers it.

It’s safe to assume it’s going to be a tablet, considering that today’s phone resolution standard is 720p. But it may appear to be a ‘phoneblet’, like the Galaxy Note and Optimus Vu, or it could be both tablet and phone! Only time will tell, and we’ll keep you informed on this story.
