ASUS engineers are internally exploring the possibility of manufacturing a 3G variant of the Google Nexus 7 tablet. ASUS who are the official manufacturers of the Nexus tablet have engineers looking into whether adding 3G to their tablet is feasible.
The addition of 3G will offer increased mobility options currently unavailable in the WIFI-only Nexus tablet. However, the Nexus tablet lens position on the top of the tablet will make it difficult for engineers to introduce 3G into the tablet.
The 7-inch Jelly Bean tablet which was unveiled at Google I/O is currently available for pre-order from Google could seriously be considered for a 3G option especially with the tablet having the Tegra 3 processor on board.
