Yes, You read the title right. ADcreative, a young vibrant design company operating in the UK and China founded by UK designer Kieron–Scott Woodhouse and China based Jerry Lao is planning to release an Android smartphone that features a housing completely constructed of bamboo.
The first prototype of Adzero Bamboo smartphone was shown off back in February and it was pegged as the worlds first wooden device to run on Google’s Android mobile operating system.
Unlike the Plastic and Aluminum designs we are used to nowadays, this smartphone will feature a completely polished bamboo exterior with slightly tweaked capacitive touch buttons. This smartphone, the ADzero Bamboo is expected to launch during the latter part of this year or during the fall of next year featuring Android 4.0 Operating System with AD Creative’s own Custom UI “ADOAS”.
