Samsung Galaxy S2 HD LTE Receives Unofficial CyanogenMod 9 ROM, Ready For Daily Use

With so many variants of the Samsung Galaxy S2, you are forgiven if you’ve never heard about the Samsung Galaxy S2 HD LTE. It’s just like the normal Galaxy S2, but with HD screen. It hasn’t reached the popularity of its brother, the official GS2, but it’s still there, and people have it.

Even if it didnt receive an official Android 4.0 Ice cream Sandwich software update like its brothers (GALAXY S2, Galaxy Note), an XDA recognized developer dsixda has created a highly-usable ROM based on the popular CyanogenMod. And when I say highly-usable, I mean everything is working as it should, except some minor bugs.

In this case, the not working list is just a line long – the only bug is the front camera, which isn’t working at this period of time. Even though it can be used as a daily driver, it’s still labelled as ‘Alpha’. That means some FCs and random reboots may occur, but apart from that, it’s good enough for those that want to be running the latest and greatest version of Android (hey, Jellybean is not released yet!).
