We are 24 hours after the official unveil of Nexus 7 tablet envisioned by Google developed by Asus and new rumors begin circling online media about a new 10.1-inch Nexus tablet which could really take on Apple’s iPad.
According to DigiTimes sources within touch panel screen manufacturers, Google plans to use 10-inch touch panels from AU Optronics and Wintek to build its allegedly called Nexus 10 tablet. Wintek presumably shipped 500,000 units of OGS (one glass solution) touch panels in June for the slick-looking Nexus 7 tablet PC.
A potential 10.1-inch Android tablet built under the Nexus brand will definitely make the iPad a target, considering that Google could sell it at a cheaper price, as it does with the 7-inch today to take on Amazon’s Kindle Fire.
At this point we do not have information to when the Nexus 10 tablet could launch, nor any kind of confirmation about this rumors.
