In a partnership made by ZTE with China Telecom, the Chinese vendor has launched at the end of last week its second high-end smarphone part of the newly announced Grand series. The first smartphone part of this new high-end product line was released a couple of months – ZTE U970 (Mimosa) which makes Grand N970 the second key product of the series set to hit the shelves at CNY 2,000 yuan each (about $320 USD).
In the second half of this year, ZTE will release its first quad-core flagship smartphones part of the same Grand product line, hoping that it will increase the overall profitability of the company.
ZTE Grand N970 is 9.9mm thick, runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, it is equipped with a Qualcomm 1.5 GHz dual-core CPU with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of ROM (built-in memory storage), features a 4.3-inch high-definition touch screen (960×540 pixels), 8MP camera on its back with a 2MP camera in the front for video calls, has support for both CDMA / GSM .
In addition, the N970 has built-in gravity sensor, light + proximity sensor, MHL high-definition video interface, wireless modem, wireless AP, support for WiFi / WAPI.
ZTE Grand N970 will make its debut in the European and North American market shortly after its release in China to further expand the overseas high-end market.
