It seems the roll out has begun as SIM Free Samsung GALAXY Note owners in the UK reportedly receiving the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich firmware upgrade in the form of a Premium suite. However the upgrade is not available at the moment for customers owning a GALAXY Note locked to any of the local networks.
Samsung says the software update has already reached all UK carriers, meaning customers will just have to wait for network operator’s approval before Ice Cream Sandwich will be pushed out to their handsets.
The software update is around 320MB in size and it is available through Samsung Kies software tool, so if you have a SIM-free Note all you need to do is plug it in and make sure Kies is update to the latest version before proceeding.
cheers Tom, Matthew!!!
