Samsung says GALAXY S III starts selling June 8 in China via all 3 major carriers

In an event held yesterday in Beijing, Samsung Electronics has announced that starting June 8th (this weekend) customers will be able to buy the next GALAXY phone – GALAXY S III from all three major Chinese carriers:  China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom.

Samsung GALAXY S III will cost 4,999 yuan (about $780)  at full retail price. However like in the iPhone’s case, Chinese network operators likely to offer the device at a discounted price on a long-term contract signing.

As Android is the dominant platform behind the Chinese wall, South Korean-based company expects to sell at least the same amount of GALAXY S3 units as they did with the GALAXY S2.
