KDDi Motorola RAZR to receive Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on May 30


Motorola Japan and KDDi has announced today that a software update which upgrades the RAZR (IS12M) to Android 4.0 ICS OS will start pushing out to customers on May 30. As usual the upgrade rolls over the air (OTA) and it will bring the following new features and improvements:

The content of Android 4.0 ICS update:

  • OS version up to 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich Android
  • Unlocked by the face authentication
  • Bootable directly, “Camera” “browser” “Gallery” will change unlock screen
  • Improvements widget
  • The ability to customize the home screen
  • Possible ability to create folders to group home screen, apps, folders, and shortcuts
  • Application integration features that are people, photo, phone number, address, and SNS
  • Enhanced display the contact list the phone application
  • You can add the menu using the data, confirmation of usage data for each application.
  • Browser enhancements
  • Menu, application settings, such as e-mail to the new user interface
  • Improvements WEBTOP
  • Equipped with voice input, the contents displayed in real time, create documents and e-mail
  • You can easily share content displayed screen shots, to the terminal.
