Samsung GALAXY Ace 2 is running Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and it seems it will see an upgrade to the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich in the near future.
According to a GALAXY Ace 2 presentation video uploaded by SammyHub on their Youtube channel the phone is due to receive ICS software update probably by the end of 2012. Although it sports only a dual-core 800Mhz NovaThor CPU, it seems good enough for Samsung to upgrade the device. To bad it wasnt good enough for the GALAXY Tab (P1000) and the GALAXY S (I9000).
Samsung GALAXY Beam and S Advance (I9070) are also equipped with a NovaThor chipset, only clocked at a higher frequency than the Ace 2. Remains to be seen if the South Korean OEM decides to upgrade these two handsets to the Ice Cream Sandwich OS as well.
