Android 4.0 available in Korea for the GALAXY Note and GALAXY S II HD


Starting yesterday Samsung Korea is pushing out to its domestic market an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich software update to the GALAXY Note and the GALAXY S II HD.

The new firmware upgrades both devices from Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) to Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) with an additional Premium Suite pack to GALAXY Note customers which will include: S Note application, S Memo, S Pen feature upgrades such as adding widgets and a new Weather application.

Android 4.0 ICS features:

  • Face recognition to unlock (Face Unlock), Android Beam Adding
  • Mobile Data Management Functionality
  • Multitasking and applications, some usability improvements
