HTC shows that its possible to run Android 4.0 on entry-level phones

HTC shows everyone that its possible to do anything if you put passion in it (cant say the same about Samsung). All that cheap talk about devices that needs resources to run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich properly has a final end with the announcement of this entry-level phone HTC Desire C (Golf).

Today the Taiwan-based handheld manufacturer announced an entry-level phone Desire C which reminds me of Mighty Mouse (cartoons), small but with an incredible will to thrive amongst most powerful handsets out there.

HTC Desire C key features:

  • 3.5-inch HVGA screen
  • Authentic sounds with Beats Audio™ technology
  • Amazing 5 megapixel camera with HD video
  • 4GB internal memory
  • Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich)
Note: The phone is also deeply integrated with Dropbox and comes with 25GB of free online space for 24 months.

The phone will be available in the UK via T-Mobile for free but with a monthly pay of £15.50 for two years, or “Pay as you go” for £169.99 (about $270). Three UK hasnt announced a price just yet for Desire C. More details in the press release below as well as an official first look video at the phone from HTC itself.
