Although BenQ is not one of the top smartphone or tablet manufacturers in the Android eco-system they keep releasing once in a while a new handset, like the one today.
BenQ have outed a new R71 tablet which will feature a 7-inch screen with a built-in speaker and will also come with Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system. The tablet will also have 3G and Wi-Fi 802.ll b/g and will also be compatible for WCDMA/EVDO.
It will run at 1.5Ghz and have a in-built memory of 8GB along with support for a max 32 GB TF card slot. Ports for a miniUSB and headphone jack is present on the device. A battery rating of 3800 mAh will provide enough juice for long-lasting performance. It’s dimensions are 194mm x 120mm x 10mm and weighs just 320 grams. The ARM Cortex A8 processor provides the tablet with some good performance and the internal GPU handles the gaming department. The multi-touch capacitive LCD screen looks good on the tablet providing some HD viewing. There is also space for a mini HDMI interface and a standard interface web video camera. The battery life can support around 5-6 hours of normal use as it runs on 512 MB of RAM.
BenQ R71 tablet will be available for purchase at a pretty decent price ¥1499 about USD $240.
