South Korean Telecom network KT has announced earlier today tha they will be carrying 3 new LTE handsets — LG Optimus LTE2, Pantech Vega Racer 2 and Samsung SHV-E170K which is the phone we are pointing out in this article.
While almost all online media rushed to link KT Samsung SHV-E170K to the recently unveiled GALAXY S III, I would say that this mid-range phone looks more like a small GALAXY Note (a inch smaller to be precise) rather than having any similarity with the SGS3. Don’t you think?
Samsung SHV-E170K is powered by the same dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor that’s on the HTC One S and LG Optimus LTE2 clocked at 1.5GHz, it has a 5MP rear-facing camera, 1.3MP in the front and a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED (960×540) display. If at some point Samsung will consider going global with the 126 grams phone it might be the perfect competition for HTC One S outside South Korea.
