Intel make Android processor debut with the Lava XOLO X900 smartphone


Indian smartphone manufacturer LAVA have the X900 ready to debut Intel’s Atom processor Z2460. It will be the first smartphone with Intel Atom Z2460 mobile processor to be launched in India.

“Lava Mobile will be launching Xolo X900 in this week and it will be priced around Rs 13,000,” sources familiar with the development said to The Mobile Indian.

Xolo X900 will feature a 4.03 inch touchscreen display, Near Field Communication (NFC) capabilities, and micro-HDMI to output high quality videos. This smartphone might come with Android 2.3 Gingerbread with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update coming later.
 Xolo X900 will have a single core 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Z2460 mobile processor with Intel Hyper-Threading technology. This processor packs an array of technologies developed by Intel for faster performance with minimal possible compromise on battery life. An integradet GPU will take care of the 3D features and High Definition playback of the device.

Xolo X900 has an 8 megapixel rear camera which should ideally be able to record 1080p HD videos. This camera also features a burst mode, which will allow users to capture ten pictures within a second at 8 megapixel quality. It also includes a front-facing video camera for video-calling 3G features.
