Meizu officially announces the brand new Meizu MX Quad-core smartphone available this June. The company says it will be the world’s first smartphone to use the new and powerful Exynos A9 quad-core 32 nm processor HKMG technology optimized to reduce CPU power consumption by up to 20% (probably the first device outside Samsung, because we know the GALAXY S III is coming this May with the same processor and recently we’ve been informed about GALAXY Note’s delay to June due to an upgrade to the latest Exynos CPU as well).

The new Meizu MX Quad-core is with 60% more faster and GPU 50% better compared to the previous MX phone.

Meizu MX Quad-core key specs:

  • Flyme OS based on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
  • vivid 292 PPI high definition ASV display
  • Exynos A9 Quad-core CPU
  • 8 megapixel BSI camera with an f/2.2 lens aperture
  • 1700 mAh battery
Meizu MX Quad-core phone will be available in all 400 Meizu retail stores in China and Hong Kong for ¥2999 CNY, $3099 (about $475 USD) for the 32GB variant, respetively ¥3999 CNY and $4099 HKD (about $630 USD) for the 64GB model.
