Easter is closing in and with it lots of goodies for Google Nexus S 4G owners especially. The Android 4.0.4 firmware upgrade is already rolling out in some parts of the world and now the factory images are officially available too.
These files are only useful to those who used the AOSP (Android Open-Source Project), flashed custom romds/builds on their devices, and wish to return the device to its factory state. Note that your device needs to be in fastboot mode, with the bootloader unlocked.
Here’s what Jean-Baptiste Queru said about the newly available factory image:
“This is meant to be used by people who built and flashed their own custom version of AOSP and wish to return to the factory state. If you’re currently running an official retail build, I simply recommend that you wait for the OTA”.
