EXCLUSIVE: New 8.9″ Amazon Kindle Ice press render surface

We have been hearing rumors about Amazon working on at least one new Kindle Android tablet that is due to arrive by the end of the summer. This just dropped in this morning in our mail inbox its the new 8.9-inch Kindle Ice.

According to our anonymous tipster the Amazon Kindle Ice will sport a 8.9″ IPS Gorilla Glass 2 full-sized bleeding edge (no bezel) display (1280x800p), powered by Qualcomm’s dual-core Snapdragon S4 Krait that’s been making a huge impact in the benchmark tests (apparently Amazon dropped TI CPU), 1GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory storage expandable for up to 32 via microSD card slot.

In addition the new Kindle Ice will have support for NFC, Bluetooth v3.0, WiFi and surprisingly or not they decided to embed a 5MP camera which misses on the 7″ Fire, runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

The new Kindle tablet will not hit the shelves in the US before June, and as a last detail its price tag goes around $275.
