How fast is the new iPad in a comparison with Nvidia’s Tegra 3 chipset? Take a look [Video]

A week ago Apple was announcing the 3rd generation iPad which they claim it is four times faster than Nvidia’s Tegra 3 (4-Plus-1) chipset. An ongoing debate has started ever since about how a dual-core processor with only 4 graphics cores like the Apple A5X is capable to outperform a quad-core processor with 12 graphics cores  (Nvidia Tegra 3).

A couple of benchmark tests done by Ritchie’s Room in a video comparison between the new iPad (iPad 3) A5X chipset vs ASUS Transformer Prime Tegra 3 chipset clearly shows that the new iPad is a lot faster (2 or 3 times faster) than Asus Transformer Prime but not 4x times faster as Apple claims.

Take a look at the comparison video made by Ritchie’s Room and tell us what are your thoughts on these benchmark test results in the comments down below.
