GALAXY S (I9000) and Galaxy Tab 7 (P1000) will get Android 2.3 upgrades & a value pack with Face Unlock and more

While announcing the very long-awaited firmware upgrade to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for GALAXY S II, Samsung also informed its customers about a few other firmware upgrade for Galaxy Tab 7 (P1000), GALAXY S (I900), GALAXY S Plus, GALAXY S SCL (Super Clear LCD) and GALAXY W from end March.

Both will receive a disappointing Android 2.3 Gingerbread update with what appears to be a value pack which offers a Face Unlock feature like Android 4.0 has, Snapshot, Photo Editor, and others.

These upgrades start rolling according to a well planned schedule and may vary by market and wireless carriers’ requirements.
