In a way our early reports about a new LG device dubbed Optimus 4X are turning to be true after all, although we took it with a pinch of salt at that time due to partial outrages specifications. According to recently leaked benchmark results and PocketNow’s article, LG Mobile is going to announce its first Quad-core smartphone at MWC in Spain and it will not be called X3, but as we have previously been tipped — LG Optimus 4X.
With MWC less than a week away LG Mobile already unveiled at least 6 new handsets at our last count; LG Optimus VU, LG Optimus L series (L3, L5 and L7), LG Optimus Lte Tag+ and recently Optimus 3D MAX (Cube).
Merging all rumored specs together we end up with the following list of hardware for the LG Optimus 4X which measures in at only 8mm thickness runs Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich, has a 4.65-inch touch screen 720p display, a Nvidia Quad-core 1.5GHz Tegra 3 processor, a 8MP camera, a 1.3 front-facing camera and 21Mbps HSPA data and a 2000mAh battery.
There isn’t any pricing details but I’m sure we will hear a lot more starting next week in Barcelona.
