Throughout recent leaks Sony uncovered in a way its new naming scheme for future Xperia series handsets.
Unveiled at the International Consumer Electronics Show back in January — Xperia S (LT26i) is the first device part of the new naming scheme strategy by Sony. Followed by Kumquat (LT25i) as Xperia U and later on by Nypon (LT22i) aka Xperia P. All these handsets will be shown off at MWC by Sony Corp in Spain. Likely all nicknames such as Tapioca, Nypon, Kumquat etc, are used within the company by Sony employes.
Getting back to LT25i aka Kumquat we knew for a while now that it will use the retail market name Xperia U also we’ve seen a couple of shots of the allegedly LT25i (see above and gallery below side by side with Xperia S).
Sony Xperia U set to sport a 3.5-inch FWVGA touch screen, powers a 1GHz dual-core processor and a 5-megapixel camera on its back looks more like the little brother of Xperia S with pretty powerful specifications for a 3.5″ smartphone.
