Verizon Droid X to receive a maintenance software update soon


Verizon Wireless just updated Droid X page support with the new change log for the upcoming maintenance software update version 4.5.621.MB810.Verizon.en.US.

The new update will bring the following changes to the Droid X such as: improves browser security with the Google Security Patch from Android 2.3.6, fixes issue where the device powers ON without user interaction,  possible device resets while playing music and its stability is also fixed, button background lighting will turn off while in the desktop cradle and much more. Maintenance update v4.5.621 is 15MB in size and it should start rolling soon (by Sunday if not early Monday morning) OTA (over the air) to all Droid X but as always in stages. You can try to manually pull it in by tapping the Menu >  Settings > About phone > System updates > Check for updates. It shouldnt take more than 5-15 minutes to download and install it on your handset.
