Samsung mysterious event scheduled for March 22

We now know that an official debut of next-generation Galaxy S (III) smartphone is not going to happen at the annual Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, because Samsung told the press so, and that the SGS III will be officially launched on a completely separate special event at the time of their choosing.

Today according to an invitation received by folks at FrAndroid, Samsung informed them that the company has plans to hold a mysterious event on Thursday, March 22 (three weeks after MWC 2012). Same guys tipped us yesterday regarding SFR’s announcement about an Android 4.0.5 ICS OS upgrade for both Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S scheduled for next month.

At this time we can not confirm if this is a Samsung Mobile event or something else, but we can tell you that more rumors have emerged today from South Korean website ETNews which hints to a 7mm thinn Quad-core Samsung Galaxy S III device with 3D content due to arrive in May.
