Sony LT22i Nypon shows up on GLBenchmark test results

Sony LT22i (Nypon) isn’t a mystery anymore due to the increased number of leaks in the last couple of months. The handset has been spotted several times since the beginning of 2012 in real-life shots and in different benchmark tests. Nypon just recently got linked in another leak with “Sony Xperia P” retail name.

While Sony is on its way to the annual Mobile World Congress starting February 27, more details about Sony Nypon surface. This time from GLBenchmark website which reveals more information about this handset.

According to GLBenchmark, Sony LT22i features a qHD capacitive touchscreen with 960 x 540p resolution, a 1GHz dual-core processor (confirming it is the ST-Ericsson NovaThor U8500 chipset), OpenGL ES 2.0 multi-core Mali-400MP GPU from ARM and it runs Android 2.3.7 Gingerbread OS. There’s also a render included in the test results which shows a ICS unlock which might hint that the handset will receive an Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade some time after MWC 2012.
