LG Optimus Pad LTE officially launched in South Korea 8.9-inch, 1.5GHz dual-core CPU and more

We know pretty much everything there is to know about the new LG Optimus Pad LTE, how it looks like, what specification the pad has (almost all specs) and even its model number all from previous leaks.

Rumors were circling online about a second-generation Optimus Pad with LTE technology on-board for over a month now, and it is now official as LG Mobile announces the Optimus Pad LTE (LG-LU8300) in South Korea.

“With tablets generating five times more traffic than the average smartphone, it’s not a huge jump to assume that tablet users need and want faster connectivity,” said Dr. Jong-seok Park, President and CEO of LG Mobile Communications Company.

“The combination of LG’s LTE technology with the tablet form factor is a clear advantage for consumers who use a tablet as their primary consumption device when on the move.”

LG Optimus Pad LTE is 9.34mm thick, weighting 479 grams and it run Google’s Android 3.2 Honeycomb OS. LG-LU8300 features an 8.9-inch True HD IPS capacitive touchscreen display with 1280x768p resolution, powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core/dual channel Qualcomm (MDM9600 + MSM8660) processor, 32GB on-board memory storage with a microSD card slot for up to another 32GB, an 8MP rear-facing camera capable to record Full-HD videos and a 2MP front-facing camera, HDMI port, DLNA, Wi-Fi Direct, and a 6800mAh battery.
