Motorola Mobility partners with Intel Mobile divison for a “multi-year” agreement

While Intel’s conference is still in progress at the time I am writing this article, just minutes ago Sanjay Jha chairman of Motorola Mobility was invited on stage to announce their partnership “multi-year agreement” with Intel’s Mobile division. This sounds like a really promising future for both giants, Motorola Android devices powered by Intel chipsets.

In the photo above is the new Intel Android smartphone reference design that will be available in the near future. The smartphone is a little under 10mm thick, powers an Intel’s Atom processor, an 8MP camera with 15fps capability, a HDMI port supporting 1080p, HD video content playback up to 6 hours before the battery goes num, up to 8 hours of 3G talk time and 14 days of standby.
