Another week passed, which means it’s time for our weekly review. Two alpha builds of the upcoming Ice-Cream Sandwich update for the Samsung Galaxy S2 were found on the Internet. Here’s what we said about that:

SamMobile exclusively released 2 new official leaked ROM’s Android 4.0 ICS OS for the Samsung GALAXY S II a couple of days before 2012.

All the files required to flash this new ROM’s based on Android 4.0 can be downloaded from SamMobile website. Read more 

The Asus Transformer Prime got root, and Asus responded to their customers on their Facebook page. Here’s a paragraph from the article:

The Asus Transformer Prime is no doubt, one of the hottest devices this year. And the thing is: the modding community has successfully gained root access! Now, that’s a good start for the Asus Transformer Prime! The developers released a tool which will help you root your beloved tablet in a matter of minutes! Later we found out that the Samsung Galaxy Nexus will be available in white. Here’s a cut from the story:

Handheld manufacturers occasionally like to bring their favorite devices in different colors for diversity, like Samsung GALAXY S II first came in black, than in white and pink.

HTC unlocked the bootloaders of five more devices. Here’s the article:

HTC Developers enlarges the list of supported HTC handsets compatible for a bootloader unlock adding the following: Wildfire,  Wildfire S, Salsa,  Merge and Desire.

Corning will present their improved Gorilla Glass at CES 2012. In other words:

CES is all about technology and Gorilla Glass for mobile devices (smartphones and tablets) by Corning is a high-tech glass manufactured to protect handhelds from impacts, scratches or any other mechanical shocks.

Motorola Xyboard 8,2 Wi-Fi model is available for pre-order. Here’s what we said about that:

For those who are not to keen on the LTE version of Motorola Xyboard, the WiFi variant is now up for preorder at $400 for the 16GB variant where as the 32GB model goes on sale (preorder) at $500. If the larger Xyboard 10.1 model is more your style, that’s listed at $499.99 for the 16GB model and $599.99 for the 32GB version. They all come in at around $200 less than what Verizon is charging off-contract for the LTE versions. Click for full article
