Like its predecessor the New Year’s Day launch of Meizu MX Android 2.3 Gingerbread-powered smartphone draw quite a crowd in front of Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen Meizu stores.
The new devices features a 4-inch capacitive ASV LCD touch screen manufactured by Sharp with a 960x640p resolution, powered by a Samsung Exynos 4210 1.4GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of built-in memory storage and a 3MP camera in the back with A/F LED flash capable of shooting 1080p @ 30 frames per second. Meizu MX body size is 121.3mm × 63.3mm × 10.3 mm, weighting 139 grams also sports WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, GMS/GPRS/EDGE/WCDMA/HSPA+ connectivity, a micro SIM and a 1600mAh battery.
Meizu MX is now available at 2,999 yuan, around $475. Meizu has in plans to upgrade the M9 later this year to a Quad-core processor along with other enhancements.
