Week in Review @PocketDroid (December 5 – 11 2011)


It’s time for another episode of the Week in Review @PocketDroid.

At the beginning of the week, we saw some blurry photos of the LG Optimus Pad LTE. Here’s a piece from the story:

Leaked for the first time a while ago LG Optimus Pad LTE is about to become the very first LTE Android tablet developed by LG Electronics.

Apparently rumored to launch December 15th the date was denied by LG officials as unfounded rumors, still the slate will arrive by the end of 2011, we are assuming just in time for the Christmas holidays somewhere around 20 – 25 of December. Full story 

We heard that the hottest device of the season, namely, the Galaxy Nexus, will be available in Romania on December 12th. Here are our thoughts about that:

Vodafone Romania confirms Samsung Galaxy Nexus availability for Monday, December 12 with a two-year contract for €170 + taxes and a data plan which includes Mega 25 package with a cut-off of €70 plus a monthly 1GB Internet data. Read more 

Verizon announced the Motorola Droid XyBoard tablets, along with a white version of Motorola Droid RAZR. Here’s what the story was all about:

What we knew until a while ago as Motorola XOOM2 and XOOM2 Media Edition are now officially launched on Verizon Wireless under the name Motorola Droid XyBoard 8.2-inch and 10.1-inch. Alongside these two beauties, a white version of Droid RAZR is also available this month from the Big Red. Read the full story 

ZTE China eye’s US high-end mobile market. In other words:

Another Asian handset manufacturer, the Chinese  ZTE has plans to release high-end Android devices in the near future on US mobile market following the footsteps of their competitors; Samsung, LG, HTC, Asus, Toshiba, Sony and many more. Full article
