Meizu MX officially announced

Jack Wang finally decided to make it official, Meizu MX (MX are the first letter combined of each word “meng xiang,” which translated from Chinese it means “dream”) will be available January 1st, 2012.

Like its predecessor Meizu MX has a unique custom ROM (FlyMe OS) developed from Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread adding a lot of new software features on top of the original stock ROM like; a custom designed UI, as well as cloud services such as data syncing, music store (China-only).

In terms of hardware specifications Meizu MX features a 4.0-inch High-res (292 PPI) AVS touch screen with a 3:2 aspect ratio. The MX comes with a dual-core 1.4GHz  Samsung Exynos 4210 processor, 1GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel back-illuminated camera and LED flash (capable of 1080p 30fps video recording) and a 0.3 VGA camera in front for video calls, 16GB of built-in memory storage (a 32GB version will launch at another date) and a 1600mAh battery.
