LG Electronics officially announces Android 4.0 ICS OS by year end for Optimus 2X, Optimus Black, Optimus 3D and Optimus LTE


In an official post on its Facebook page, LG Electronics announces Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich firmware upgrade for the following smartphones by the end of 2011: the Optimus 2X, Optimus Black, Optimus 3D and Optimus LTE.

“LG confirms today that the Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) OS will be initially available for the following high-end LG smartphones which were introduced this year: the Optimus 2X, the Optimus Black, the Optimus 3D and the Optimus LTE.”

Further more the company continues to test the ICS operating system to decide whether it is or not compatible for other LG devices making it available for as many LG smartphone models as possible.
