Announced last month October 27th in London (see the whole event), Samsung GALAXY Note is the next BIG thing from the South Korean handset maker
Last night in Bucharest, Hotspot Internetics held the official launch event of Samsung GALAXY Note in Romania, as part of the Samsung Galaxy Note World Tour.
As expected there was quite a crowd filling all the sits available in Madame Pogany where some people had to squeeze inside the place.
Sorin Manea part of Samsung Romania told the crowd that the number of Android activated device in Romania increased in the last year from 50,000 to over 500,000 activations in 2011, 100,000 of which are Samsung GALAXY S II devices, a pretty important figure for Romania market although compared to the number of activations world-wide (over 550,000) on a daily basis this figure is insignificant.
But getting back to the launch event, Samsung GALAXY Note is one of the most expected devices this fall-winter besides its fellow smartphone, the GALAXY Nexus with Android 4.0 ICS OS. Because it is a mix between a smartphone & a tablet and also has the S-Pen (stylus), the 5.3-inch at this time provides one of the best if not the best functionality, mixing together all your needs in a single device.
Samsung GALAXY Note features a 5.3-inch Super AMOLED HD display (1280×800p resolution), 1.4GHz dual-core processor, 21Mbps HSPA+, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 16GB of internal memory storage, 8MP camera with full HD video recording support on the back and a 2MP front-facing camera for video chat, a microSD card slot and Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS (upgradeable to ICS 4.0 in 2012).
